Los Angeles-based formats company Small World IFT has hired Luci Burnley to grow its presence in the international market.

Formerly a sales and acquisitions manager for distributor Banijay International, Burnley will expand sales of formats, such as makeover reality series Miss Country Girl (pictured), as senior vice president, format sales and development. She will report to Small World IFT founders Tim and Colleen Crescenti.

“With four different format titles going to broadcast now from Sweden to Thailand, we are at the breakout point, which is why we need someone with Luci’s expertise, deep relationships and enthusiasm to take us even higher,” Tim Crescenti said in a statement. “She will be based in London where Colleen and I plan to be most of the summer working with her closely.”

Before joining Banijay, Burnley was sales and acquisitions manager for DRG and a programming executive at IMG Media.

Her appointment builds on last year’s ongoing strategic deal with entertainment company Content Media Corporation to develop a joint formats portfolio.
