UK pubcaster BBC2 has commissioned London-based Outline Productions to make Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food, a peak time cookery series set to air in the summer.
In the 6 x 30-minute series, Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge (pictured ab0ve) shows how to cook the best pub food dishes, from starters to mains and desserts.
In addition to the recipes, Kerridge visits suppliers to provide tips on how consumers can get the best ingredients, as well as other pubs and producers that are re-inventing pub food.
“Tom is all about flavor – he makes ordinary dishes extraordinary,” said Outline Productions’ director of programs Bridget Boseley. “This isn’t fast food – its food that takes a little bit more time, love and attention to make.”
Tom Kerridge’s Proper Pub Food was commissioned by BBC2 commissioning editor of factual features and formats Alison Kirkham, and is executive produced by Bridget Boseley for Outline and Kirkham for the BBC. The series director is Sarah Myland and senior producer is Sally Wingate.
