Berwick, Frot-Coutaz, Kavanaugh set for MIPCOM

MIPCOM has unveiled several speakers for  its Media Mastermind keynote series, including Bravo and Style Media president Frances Berwick (pictured), FremantleMedia’s CEO Cécile Frot-Coutaz, and Relativity Media’s CEO Ryan Kavanaugh.

Berwick oversees both Bravo and Style Media’s production, development, programming, marketing, and more. U.S. cable network Bravo recently revealed its largest slate of original programming yet, with 17 new and 18 returning unscripted series, while Style has become one of the top 10 fastest growing women’s cable networks over the last three years and is increasing its original programming by 22 percent this year.

Frot-Coutaz heads up FremantleMedia, as CEO of the international producer and distributor of primetime entertainment, factual entertainment, drama, kids and family programming. The RTL Group-owned company delivers more than 9,200 hours of programming a year, made by its international network of companies that span 22 countries.

At Relativity, Kavanaugh leads the entertainment studio which produces, distributes and offers film and television financing. Under his leadership, Relativity has produced, distributed or structured financing for nearly 200 motion pictures, and its Relativity Television division is one of the largest suppliers of unscripted television programming in the U.and is RelativityREAL and  is currently expanding into scripted series.

Also speaking at the conference is Roy Price, director of Amazon Studios, who oversees the development and production of the film and television properties for Amazon. Amazon Studios allows users to upload a script, and within 45 days they will be notified if their script is optioned. Currently there are 24 films and 30 television projects in development.

MIPCOM will take place in Cannes, France from October 7 to 10, 2013.
