Core Media Group has hired former Zodiak USA development exec Tim Sullivan to be its senior VP of development and production.

In his new role, Sullivan will develop and produce unscripted series and report to the company’s head of U.S. television, Jen O’Connell.

Previously, he was the head of development for Zodiak USA, where he oversaw creative efforts and managed the indie production company’s relationships with more than 45 producers around the world. Before that he was a producer on Top Chef Just Desserts and a director of development for Magical Elves.

“Tim is an incredibly talented executive with deep relationships across networks,” O’Connell said in a statement. “He instantly grasped Core’s vision and approach for developing and producing TV shows and we are excited to have him on board as we continue to grow.”

Sullivan joins Core as it expands its unscripted production and development team under president Marc Graboff. The company recently acquired Sharp Entertainment and a stake in Rhett Bachner and Brien Meagher’s B17.
