Czech Republic broadcaster Nova will begin airing its version of the international hit format Benidorm Bastards next week.

After acquiring the remake rights from international distributor Red Arrow International, the premiere of the local Czech version takes place on Thursday, June 27.

Created by Shelter, the format has been sold to more than 20 countries, airing on RTL 4 in the Netherlands as Benidorm Bastards, on NBC in the U.S. as Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, and on ProSiebenSat. 1 in Germany with the cheeky title Old Ass Bastards.

“This show has been awarded with many international prizes and that’s the sign of quality, which Czech audience will appreciate for sure,” said Nova program chief Alex Ruzek in a statement.

“Our ‘Bastards’ have an amazing track record and I am convinced our seniors will charm Czech audiences in no time,” added Shakira Hoffmann, international sales manager for CEE at Red Arrow International.
