U.S. net Syfy has set an August airdate for Heroes of Cosplay, a six-part reality series formerly known as Cosworld.

The show looks at nine Cosplayers – men and women who dress up in costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea from a work of fiction – and at Cosplay contests around the world, taking place at comic book and genre fan conventions.

The series is produced by Endemol-owned indie 51 Minds, and debuts August 13 at 10.30 p.m. EST, following a special 90-minute episode of competition series Face Off. It then moves to its regular time of 10 p.m. on Tuesdays, starting August 20.

The shows exec producers are Mark Cronin, Courtland Cox and Dave Caplan.
