UK-based distributor DRG has closed a deal to internationally shop two docs that have aired on Discovery Channel and TLC.

KKK: Beneath the Hood, produced by Left/Right Productions for Discovery Channel, gets inside access to the Ku Klux Klan and reveals some of the rituals and secret activities that still take place within the organization.

Meanwhile, My Three Wives, produced by Figure 8 Films for TLC, follows a polygamist and his family of three wives and 24 children who all live under the same roof.

“The worlds these films allow us to explore are poles apart – the infamous far-right group and the modern polygamist family – but are equally rarely glimpsed,” said Ali Hill, head of factual and factual entertainment acquisitions for DRG, in a statement. “The human instinct of curiosity is sure to be satisfied by these eye-opening documentaries and we look forward to introducing them to the international market.”

The deals are the first to be announced since news of DRG’s takeover by European broadcast company Modern Times Group, revealed last month.
