Discovery UK nabs “Heroes in the Sky”

Discovery Channel in the UK has acquired Second World War doc Heroes in the Sky from London-based distributor Indigo Film and Television.

Discovery Channel in the UK has acquired Second World War doc Heroes in the Sky from London-based distributor Indigo Film and Television.

The hour-long history special was produced by Halo Pictures and documents the 1940s Nazi siege on the island of Malta, featuring interviews, re-enactments, archive footage and CGI.

Indigo’s sales manager Robert Bassett said: “I am happy to have negotiated this deal with Discovery Channel. It’s great that audiences will get to see a piece of history which is so significant, yet rarely seen.”
