International broadcasters pick up royal baby doc

Broadcasters in Canada, Brazil and Singapore have acquired FutureSight Entertainment's William and Kate: A Royal Arrival from UK-based distributor Electric Sky.

Broadcasters in Canada, Brazil and Singapore have picked up FutureSight Entertainment’s doc on the royal baby, William and Kate: A Royal Arrival, from distributor Electric Sky.

The UK-based distributor picked up the doc – which promised an up-to-the-minute update of the birth and interviews with Sir Elton John, Prince Harry, Kate Winslet – earlier in July. The royal baby was born on Sunday at 4:24 p.m. London time.

Pre-sale deals were finalized with CBC in Canada, Globosat in Brazil, and Mediacorp in Singapore.

In addition, the distributor has inked deals for another release – The Sex Clinic – with SBS Discovery TV Sweden, Channel 8 Israel, Vitaya in Belgium, TVN Poland, Prime Television New Zealand, SBS Discovery Media Norway, RTL Netherlands, SBS Discovery Media Finland and BBC Worldwide in Africa.
