TV Guide Network (TVGN) has lined up four unscripted series for the fall, including Mother of All Talent, Tequila Sisters, and projects featuring Wendy Williams and country star John Rich.
Jarrett Creative’s Mother of All Talent (pictured above) is an eight-episode docuseries following the mother and daughter duo behind a top talent agency for kids. Run out of Staten Island, Nikki and Lorri manage children in showbiz and deal with their parents. Seth Jarrett and Julie Insogna-Jarrett serve as executive producers.
Tequila Sisters looks at the Marin family, headed up by Mexican-born patriarch and tequila entrepreneur Bill and his wife Lori, and their four daughters.
The eight-part docusoap, produced by Rogue Atlas Productions in association with Lionsgate, follows the conflict of the Marin parents trying to pass on traditions, while the four girls, all in their 20s, attempt to find their independence. Eli Frankel (Amazing Race, Braxton Family Values) is executive producer.
TV Guide Network is also betting on two personality-led projects, both currently untitled. The Wendy Williams project sees talk show host Williams as she prepares for her Broadway debut in Chicago, where she will play the prison matron Mama Morton. The docuseries will also see Williams at work on her daily talk show, The Wendy Williams Show.
The series will be produced by Wendy Williams Productions with Wendy Williams, Kevin Hunter, Lisa Knapp and Jill Ramsey as executive producers.
Following the country star John Rich, who is one half of the duo Big & Rich, the John Rich project will be part talk show, part reality. Rich is no stranger to unscripted, having won Celebrity Apprentice in 2011 and having served as a judge on Nashville Star. The series will be filmed at Rich’s home and will feature live performances, celebrity interviews, surprise guests and audience interaction.
The primetime series is produced by 25/7 Productions with David Broome, Yong Yam and Marc Oswald as executive producers.
