“You Gotta Eat Here” heads to Italy

Toronto-based Portfolio Entertainment has sold food travel series You Gotta Eat Here to National Geographic Channel Italy.

Toronto-based Portfolio Entertainment has sold food travel seriesĀ You Gotta Eat Here to National Geographic Channel Italy.

The deal, brokered by GA&A Productions, will see You Gotta Eat Here debut in Italy in September. The series is produced by Lone Eagle Entertainment and follows comedian and host John Catucci as he steps into kitchens across the country to find local restaurant gems.

The Food Network Canada series, which has had two seasons so far, was previously acquired by UKTV’s Good Food Network and Discovery Asia Pacific.

“This is the perfect Italian broadcast platform for the show, which is fast becoming a truly global success,” said Joy Rosen, co-founder at Portfolio Entertainment. “We are really looking forward to watching the first episodes in Italian.”
