ITV has created a strategic ITV Studios U.S. Group, an umbrella brand encompassing the British producer’s American arm, ITV Studios America, as well as its acquired indies Gurney Productions, High Noon Entertainment and Thinkfactory Media.
Paul Buccieri (pictured above), president and CEO of ITV Studios U.S. Group and MD of ITV Studios International, will serve as chair of the umbrella brand, and will work along side Julie Meldal-Johnsen, who serves as executive VP of operations, and Ivan Garel-Jones, who serves as VP of business affairs.
Meldal-Johnsen was previously director legal and business affairs for ITV Studios International, leading business affairs for both the company’s distribution and international production businesses.
Garel-Jones was formerly the senior VP of business affairs for ITV Studios America and has played a key role in growing the company’s non-scripted business by brokering deals for programs such as Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.
In addition, former PriceWaterhouseCoopers exec Oliver De La Hoz will also join the team as executive VP of finance. He has more than a decade of experience in the finance and entertainment sectors, and previously served as PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ director of financial due diligence (mergers and acquisitions).
“Under Paul’s leadership we have continued to make great progress in building a strong international content business, an important part of ITV’s transformation plan,” said ITV Studios managing director Kevin Lygo in a statement. “The creation of this new leadership team will further underpin the momentum Paul has built as we continue to drive forward the expansion of the ITV Studios U.S. Group.”
Buccieri will continue to lead ITV Studios’ international production business, including companies in Europe and Australia, and its distribution division ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
