A&E has greenlit a reality set amid Nashville, Tennessee’s country music scene.

Crazy Hearts: Nashville follows a group of aspiring country musicians and insiders as they navigate rivalries and love life foibles while pursuing stardom. The eight-episode, one-hour series is being produced for the U.S. cable network by Eastern.

In announcing the series, the network promised love triangles, “fiery relationships and stiff competition among these rowdy songbirds cause rivalry both on-stage and off.” The production is taking place amid the city’s clubs and music venues.

The executive producers on Crazy Hearts: Nashville for Eastern are Toby Barraud and Stefan Springman. Drew Tappon, Fred Grinstein and Evan Lerner are serving as EPs for A&E.
