Banijay Group has acquired Spanish drama and entertainment prodco DLO Producciones, which is currently developing non-scripted programming.

DLO, headed up by José Manuel Lorenzo (pictured above), will continue to operate independently. Lorenzo will work together with Ana Rosa Quintana, the head of Cuarzo Producciones – Banijay’s flagship Spanish operation – to expand genres and broadcasters within the Spanish market.

DLO was established in 2011 and produces primetime series and mini-series, including El Ángel de Budapest for TVE, family comedy series Familia and miniseries Mario Conde, los Dias de Gloria, both for Telecinco.

Currently the company has a number of projects in development for local broadcasters in both scripted and non-scripted, according to Banijay.
