U.S. cable net Bravo has ordered a three-part adaptation of Gogglebox, a UK format (pictured) which sees cameras filming the reactions of viewers as they watch TV.

Bravo will air the half-hour unscripted series, which is titled The People’s Couch, at 11.30 p.m. EST on October 6, 13 and 20.

The Studio Lambert-produced format airs in the UK on Channel 4, and sees families and couples at home on their couches, commenting on shows such as The X Factor and wildlife specials such as Africa, often to comedic effect.

The People’s Couch is a funny, unfiltered comment on America’s current TV viewing habits,” said Lara Spotts, VP of development at Bravo.  “Continuing Bravo’s tradition of serving up pop culture in fresh, new ways, this series taps into everyone’s desire to know what others think about the shows they are watching.”

The People’s Couch is produced by Studio Lambert and All3Media America, with Stephen Lambert, Eli Holzman, Tania Alexander and Aliyah Silverstein serving as exec producers.
