Atwood, Hadfield set for 2013 WCSFP

Author Margaret Atwood (pictured) and astronaut Chris Hadfield are among the guest speakers set for the 21st annual World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP), which this year takes place in Montreal.

Both will speak as part of ‘Sparks of Inspiration,’ a series of mini-sessions where ground-breakers from a variety of disciplines will offer glimpses into their worlds, discuss their innovative projects, reveal the sources of their creativity and speculate on what the future will bring.

Signed copies of Atwood’s book MaddAddam and Hadfield’s upcoming book An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth will be available for purchase at the event, and additional speakers in the series will be announced mid-October.

The 2013 WCSFP takes place in Montreal, Canada, from December 3-6, while the 2014 event will take place in China.
