“Born to Kill” racks up global sales

Twofour Rights has sold the fifth season of its factual crime series Born to Kill into the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Twofour Rights has sold the fifth season of its factual crime series Born to Kill into the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

The show looks at notorious murders from around the globe and uncovers the psychology of each killer to find out why they were driven to murder.

Born to Kill has been acquired by Investigation Discovery in the U.S., which also airs as Twisted, while pre-sales include Discovery Investigation Canada and Discovery in Latin America.

NBC Universal has picked up the series for its international feeds; Canal+ has taken it for viewers across Asia, Europe and North Africa; RTL Group has taken rights for German-speaking European countries; and TV4 as aquired it in Sweden and Finland.

The series currently airs on Channel 5 in the UK.

“Our Born to Kill brand goes from strength to strength, now reaching over 85 territories in the world,” said Anthony Appell, head of sales at Twofour Rights.
