Beyond Productions has acquired the American and Australian format rights to Jobs Without Frontiers (pictured) from Eccho Rights.

Created by Sputnik Media in Belgium, the series transplants a group of four co-workers to another part of the world and challenges them to carry out their jobs in the face of cultural and language differences.

“As a social experiment, this format has great depth,” said Beyond general manager and EVP John Luscombe in a statement. “Life-changing cultural immersion, the challenge of performing your job under very different circumstances, and the ultimate team-building exercise when workplace relationships are put to the test.”

The show is nominated for the Prix Europa and was nominated for the Rose D’Or at Cannes earlier this year. Eccho Rights has also optioned the format to companies in France, Spain, Italy, Sweden and Finland.
