London- and Paris-based distributor Zodiak Rights has hired Elliott Chalkley (pictured) as its VP of sales, working across Latin America, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

He will be responsible for non-scripted sales, and will establish and maintain existing relationships while developing new business within the territories. He will also work closely with the local Zodiak Media Group production companies on format commissions.

He takes up his role at MIPCOM, and will report to head of sales Anne-Marie Pardoe.

Chalkley joins Zodiak Rights from BBC Worldwide, where he worked in sales focusing on Latin America, Northern Mediterranean territories and Iberia.

“We are delighted to welcome an executive of Elliott’s caliber to Zodiak Rights,” said Pardoe. “He is a highly experienced sales executive who has a comprehensive knowledge of these key territories and an excellent track-record in creating and exploiting sales opportunities across a wide range of programming genres. He will be an integral part of our team as we continue to drive the next phase of our business.
