The Esquire Network is bringing two of its popular print magazine features to U.S. TV screens, with Magical Elves and Wilshire Studios tapped to produce.

Hour-long specials Women we Love and the tentatively titled Best Bars in America will premiere in November and December respectively, with Wilshire tackling the former and Magical Elves the latter.

Talking at Realscreen West in Santa Monica earlier this year, Matt Hanna, head of original programming for the Esquire Network, said that the regular Esquire print magazine section ‘Women we Love’ was a good indicator of the overall tone producers should consider for the fledgling network.

Premiering on November 19 at 8 p.m. EST, the adapted special “is an hour-long celebration of some of the most captivating, impressive and alluring women from entertainment, sports, pop culture and more,” according to the network. Jennifer Lane is the executive producer.

Best Bars, meanwhile, comes from exec producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, and will premiere at an as-yet-unspecified time in December.

For the special, two friends and comedians, Jay Larson and Sean Patton, explore bars featured in Esquire magazine’s annual rundown of the best in the U.S.

In a statement, Hanna said: “Both are perfect examples of how our partnership with Esquire offers the opportunity to extend some of their most popular features on air in ways that are really engaging and compelling.”
