Endemol picks up Spike’s “Bigfoot Bounty”

Endemol has acquired the international TV distribution rights, outside of the U.S., for Spike TV's reality series 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty.

Endemol has acquired the international TV distribution rights, outside of the U.S., for Spike TV’s reality series 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty.

The 8 x 60-minute series, which is currently in production and set to premiere in January, is being made by Charlie Corwin’s indie Original Media, which is owned by Endemol North America.

Hosted by actor Dean Cain, 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty features teams of explorers attempting to unearth “irrefutable evidence” of Bigfoot’s existence. Any team able to do so will win the show’s US$10 million ‘cash prize.’

Each episode will follow the different teams “as they ply their extensive research and presumed knowledge of the legendary creature, often battling nature’s inhospitable conditions,” according to Endemol.
