A+E Networks International and ZDF Enterprises have renewed their European content and distribution deals via a three-year agreement.

The pact renews an initial agreement between the two firms that began in 2005. The ZDF History programming block will continue airing on Sunday nights on ZDF in Germany, made up of  ZDF and A+E Networks content.

A second part of the deal sees ZDF Enterprises continuing to be the content sales representative for a limited number of hours from A+E Networks’ catalog in German-speaking Europe. Germany’s History and Bio channels will carry on acquiring local content from the ZDF Enterprises catalog.

“ZDF and ZDF Enterprises are important, long-standing partners with A+E Networks across several parts of our respective business operations,” said Dean Possenniskie, A+E Network’s MD for Europe. “We are very pleased to expand this strategic relationship which allows for growth for both our companies.”

“In this very competitive time of digital changes we are pleased that our close relationship with this successful and reliable partner is still going strong,” added Alexander Coridass, president and CEO of ZDF Enterprises.
