U.S. cable network Oxygen has promoted Brie Miranda Bryant (pictured) to vice president of development and production for original programming.

Formerly senior director of development and production, Bryant will continue developing and producing series and specials in her new role, in addition to overseeing day-to-day production of the female-skewing network’s original programs. She is based in New York and reports to Cori Abraham, senior VP of development and international.

Since joining Oxygen in 2004, Bryant has overseen series such as Bad Girls Club, Bad Girls All Star Battle, Jersey Couture and Preachers of LA. Before that she worked in publishing at Teen Vogue and was part of the Tribeca Film Festival’s launch team.

“Brie has proven to be an invaluable member of Oxygen’s production and development team with her outstanding creative vision and ability to identify breakout characters and trends,” Abraham said in a statement. “As we continue to increase original programming, Brie will help deliver more innovative and ground-breaking hits that speak to our young female audience.”
