Lifetime has commissioned Relativity Television to produce Kim of Queens, a docuseries starring pageant coach Kim Gravel, which will premiere in the U.S. on January 1.

Gravel, a former Miss Georgia pageant winner, searches for young talent that are “diamonds in the rough” that she can transform into “confident women,” according to the network.

She is the owner and CEO of Pageant Place, where she works alongside her mother Jo and sister Allisyn to polish talented hopefuls.

Kim of Queens will premiere at 10 p.m. EST/PST on New Years Day, and subsequent episodes will air on Tuesdays at 10 p.m., following Dance Moms.

Relativity Television’s Tom Forman, Brad Bishop and Bryan O’Donnell exec produce along with Lifetime’s Colleen Conway Grogan, Mary Donahue and Eli Lehrer.

A+E Networks will handle global sales for Kim of Queens.
