Chinese state broadcaster CCTV2 has commissioned a doc series about the world’s top brands from Ten Alps-owned prodco Blakeway Productions.

The Secrets of Branding (8 x 50 minutes) will examine the stories behind more than 30 of the world’s most recognizable fashion, tech, auto, beverage, entertainment and retail brands, including Gucci, Disney, Burberry, Dyson and Lamborghini.

The show will feature interviews with company execs, such as inventor James Dyson, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, who will discuss the ways the companies work with governments and persist during economic downturns.

The Secrets of Branding will be executive produced by Ten Alps creative director Fiona Stourton and the series producers are Joanna Bartholomew and Matt Hill.

BBC Worldwide is distributing the series internationally.
