U.S. cable network HGTV has added three real estate and renovation series to its January schedule, with talent including Olypmic gold medalist Brian Boitano and Yard Crashers host Matt Blashaw.
The Brian Boitano Project premieres on January 16 at 11 p.m. EST/PST and 11:30 p.m. EST/PST, and sees the figure skater traveling to northern Italy to renovate his 200-year-old family home.
Blashaw (pictured above) hosts Vacation House for Free, premiering on January 1 at 5 p.m. EST/PST, which shows viewers how to turn a vacation house into an income property.
The series begins with selection of a vacation home and follows the renovations that will allow the homeowner to turn their purchase into a vacation rental for part of the year.
Hosted by real estate experts JoJo Jones and Chris Kromer, Beat the House shows the duo competing to convince couples to buy the house they’ve selected.
It premieres on January 7 at 11 p.m. EST/PST and 11:30 p.m. EST/PST.
“We’ve found that our viewers’ appetite for real estate and renovation programming is virtually insatiable,” said Steven Lerner, senior vice president of programming and development for HGTV and DIY Network. “But we’re committed to showcasing inventive series that give them what they want, while inspiring them to examine how they think about finding, buying and renovating their own homes.”
