A&E to premiere magic reality series in January

U.S. cable network A&E is to begin airing a reality series starring magician Andrew Mayne (pictured) in January.

Produced by Joke Productions, Don’t Trust Andrew Mayne will premiere on January 13 at 10 p.m. EST/PST with back-to-back episodes.

The series follows the magician as he undertakes illusions in order to help people get even with those who have wronged them. Each episode will feature one large illusion and five smaller illusions, from explosions and disappearing cars to sleights of hand.

Mayne is also the author of more than 50 books and co-costs the podcast Weird Things.

Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina serve as executive producers for Joke Productions, alongside Mayne and Mary Jaras. Drew Tappon and Brad Holcman are exec producing for A&E Television Networks.
