US cable network OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has set premiere dates for three docu-series joining the primetime line-up this spring.
The previously announced Lindsay, which follows actress Lindsay Lohan’s return to public life after a stint in rehab, will premiere March 9. The series is directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Amy Rice (By the People: The Election of Barack Obama) and details Lohan’s struggle to stay sober and build a new life in New York.
Also premiering in March is Deion’s Family Playbook, an intimate portrait of Deion Sanders – the only pro athlete to have played in both a Super Bowl and a World Series. Audiences will first glimpse Sanders’ private life, which involves raising five children and running a football academy, on March 1.
OWN’s third series, Love in the City, kicks off April 12 and centers on a close-knit group of four girlfriends living in New York’s Harlem neighborhood as they weather the challenges of building families and navigating relationships while maintaining their friendship.
