U.S. cable network Reelzchannel is to launch reality series Polka Kings this fall, introducing audiences to the quirky world of polka music.

The show, which starts filming this spring, is being produced by ITV-controlled Cake Boss firm High Noon Entertainment.

Polka Kings follows the misadventures of the Chardon Polka Band, a five-member troupe from Cleveland, Ohio, and their pursuit of mainstream status. But to achieve their dream of headlining Germany’s Oktoberfest, the group - popular for polka covers of Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga songs - must overcome disapproving family members, precarious finances and inter-band relationships.

“We’re excited to give viewers a hilarious, insightful and surprising look at the world of polka that has never been seen before,” said Reelzchannel CEO Stan E. Hubbard in a statement. “Polka Kings brings a fully relatable story of the American spirit through the experiences of a band that’s as close as family and absolutely determined to achieve their dreams.”
