Choice chefs from seasons past will go head-to-head in Bravo Media’s new culinary competition series Top Chef Extreme (working title), set to air this summer.

The series will feature pairings of the most compelling chef personalities from past seasons of Top Chef and Top Chef Masters for three rounds of extreme challenges. The winners of each contest will then compete against one another in the show’s season finale for “a definitive battle royal of pure gastronomic talent and ambition,” according to a statement.

Fans of Top Chef are being encouraged to put forth their dream chef pairings on Top Chef‘s Facebook page, Facebook.com/TopChef or on Twitter, using the hashtag #TopChefExtreme.

As with the rest of the Top Chef franchise, the series is being produced by Los Angeles-based prodco Magical Elves.
