FremantleMedia ups Dickson to acquisitions VP

FremantleMedia has promoted Hayley Dickson (pictured) to the newly created position of VP of television acquisitions and development for global content at its international distribution arm, FremantleMedia International.

FremantleMedia has promoted Hayley DicksonĀ (pictured) to the newly created position of VP of television acquisitions and development for global content at its international distribution arm, FremantleMedia International.

Dickson’s previous role was director of television acquisitions and development, in which she sourced, evaluated and acquired rights to TV and digital content, as well as coordinating relationships with digital content originators including Hulu, Vuguru and Young Hollywood.

Prior to joining FremantleMedia, Dickson was manager of acquisitions for Shine International.

In her new position, she will be locating and securing properties for domestic and international marketplaces – with a focus on entertainment, factual, lifestyle, drama and comedy – as well as heading up business development and liaising with class content creators and distributors.

“Hayley has a talent for recognizing emerging trends and the opportunities they represent. She has an intuitive grasp of the ongoing evolution of content and distribution channels and this makes her the perfect candidate for this important role,” said Rob Clark, director of global entertainment development, in a statement.
