“Don’t Drive Here” sells into Spain, Italy

Toronto-based Proper Rights has sold Don’t Drive Here to broadcasters in Spain, Sweden, Italy and the EMEA regions.

The four deals will see the first season of the Proper Television series sold to Chellomedia’s Odisea Channel in Spain, Viasat’s channel TV10 in Sweden, Sky Channel in Italy and Discovery Networks Europe for its pan-regional Discovery World Channel throughout Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The news follows the launch of production of Don’t Drive Here season two for Discovery Canada, with the cast and crew beginning to film in Rome.

Andrew Younghusband (Canada’s Worst Driver) returns to host, as the upcoming 6 x one-hour season takes him to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Nairobi, Kenya; La Paz, Bolivia; Port-au Prince, Haiti; and São Paulo, Brazil.

Proper Television’s Guy O’Sullivan and Jennifer Scott serve as executive producers and Derek Miller is series producer.

“The first season was a hit with Canadian viewers and is gaining popularity on a global scale,” said O’Sullivan. “We could not be happier with its success.”
