Channel 4 orders real estate format “Best and Final Offer”

Produced by Superhero Television, the series wll give viewers a glimpse into bidding wars over hot real estate properties for sale in the United Kingdom's housing market.

UK broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned the property format Best and Final Offer from Superhero Television.

The series will give viewers a glimpse into bidding wars over hot real estate properties for sale in the United Kingdom’s housing market. Each episode focuses on an agent working with multiple buyers hoping to out-bid each other for their dream home. The successful bidder will be revealed in the episode’s climax.

The series promises show the heated and emotional discussions prospective buyers have with their families as well as the borrowing and mortgage options and tactics they undertake in hopes of closing the deal.

“We feel we’ve found a great opportunity to show viewers a side of the seller/buyer story – namely the rollercoaster reality – that we all know exists, but very seldom see on TV,” said Alex Menzies, Channel 4′s commissioning editor for features, in a statement.

Best and Final Offer will be exec produced by Sebastian Scott and Lucas Green. Suzy Ratner is the series producer.
