Carpenter and media personality Adam Carolla (pictured, center) comes to the aid of disgruntled homeowners in the 11 x 30-minute series Catch a Contractor,  premiering March 9 at 10 PM EST/PST on Spike TV.

The Eyeworks USA-created and -produced series, which was among 11 projects added to the U.S. cable net’s development slate last April, has Carolla teaming up with contractor Skip Bedell (pictured, left) and his wife, private investigator Alison Bedell (pictured, right), to track down contractors who have abandoned homeowners with unfinished or potentially dangerous projects.

Once the contractors are located, they are invited to a “sting” house with the promise of a new job, only to be confronted by Carolla and his team. The builders are then given a chance to fix or complete the original project.

Carolla, who has appeared in various capacities on TV, radio and online, is the host of The Adam Carolla Show podcast. Before moving into entertainment, he worked in construction for 10 years.
