Katherine Bovey (pictured), formerly a producer with ITV-owned prodco Shiver,  is joining UK indie Riverdog Productions as its head of development.

Bovey is the first hire for the new prodco, which comes from former ITV head of London factual Tim Miller and Come Dine With Me co-creator Nell Butler. She worked on formats and documentaries such as Airline, Celebrity Fit Club and Trinny & Susannah before shifting to development three years ago.

Riverdog, which is part of prodco incubator Greenbird, will specialize in documentary as well as factual and factual entertainment formats.

“Having worked for one of the biggest TV companies for over a decade, it’s incredibly exciting to be striking out in a new direction,” said Bovey in a statement. “Tim and Nell are an extraordinary team – I can’t wait to work with them.”

Miller added: “Katherine is a fantastic person to have on board because her experience is so broad. Not many people can claim they’ve worked on the political programme Dimbleby as well as Sex on the Job. I’m delighted to be reunited with her.”
