HGTV bolsters programming team

The Scripps Networks Interactive-owned company has named two directors of original programming, hiring Adam Fleischhacker (pictured, left) and promoting Lindsey Weidhorn (right).

U.S. cable network HGTV has appointed two execs for the role of director of original programming.

The Scripps Networks Interactive-owned company has hired Adam Fleischhacker (pictured, left) and promoted Lindsey Weidhorn (right).

Fleischhacker will develop and produce new and existing series for the network.¬†For the past decade, he has been producing and editing TV series such as Food Network’s Throwdown, Sandwich King and Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction; and Discovery Channel’s Mortal Enemies: Behind the Hatred.

He also co-created and hosted the Food Network’s online cooking show What Would Bobby Do?

Weidhorn, who joined HGTV’s programming department eight years ago, oversees Property Brothers, Buying and Selling, Love It or List It and Fixer Upper.¬†Prior to HGTV, she held positions at the Sundance Film Festival, Samuel Goldwyn Films, and theatrical distributor Roadside Attractions.
