U.S. cable networks National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo Mundo are launching another series in the “smart quiz show” vein with the debut of The Numbers Game on March 24.

Hosted by data scientist Jake Porway (pictured), the series looks at everyday life and topics such as superstition, skepticism, lying and desirability through the lens of statistics. In each episode, Porway and a panel of experts will put different questions to the test through man-on-the-street experiments and interactive game play.

The experts include mentalist Wayne Hoffman, skeptic Dr. Michael Shermer and body language guru Chris Ulrich.

The series is produced by National Geographic Television and Goodbye Pictures. Executive producers are Pamela Caragol for National Geographic Television; Rich Bye, Michael Rucker and Ed Lavelle for Goodbye Pictures and Richard Wells for NGC.

The Numbers Game will debut on March 24 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT and air internationally on NGC in May.
