WE tv ups Theresa Patiri

U.S. net WE tv has promoted Theresa Patiri (pictured) to senior VP of production and business affairs, effective immediately, reporting to president and general manager Marc Juris.

U.S. net WE tv has promoted Theresa Patiri (pictured) to senior VP of production and business affairs, effective immediately, reporting to president and general manager Marc Juris.

Patiri, based in the company’s New York office, was previously VP of production management and operations.

“Theresa is a dynamic television executive whose efforts have considerably contributed to WE tv’s growth as a top destination for quality unscripted programming,” said Juris. “She has directly influenced WE tv’s success, helping to expand the network’s audience and grow revenue. As WE tv enters the scripted genre, Theresa’s efforts will help guide the network towards even greater popularity and growth.”

In her new role, Patiri is responsible for all production management and business affairs for WE tv’s slate of original scripted and unscripted series and development projects.

She will advise senior management on WE tv’s overall production and business affairs strategies, including benefit-risk analysis, negotiates major deal points and ancillary rights for the network’s originals.

Patiri also oversees U.S. and international program sales, series syndication, rights and clearances, and is a key contact for studios, agents, production companies and talent representatives.
