Scripps Networks International has signed a three-year acquisition deal with Channel 4 that will bring 10 of the terrestrial channel’s series, featuring food personalities such as Jamie Oliver (pictured) and Heston Blumenthal, to the Scripps-owned lifestyle nets Food Network UK and Travel Channel UK.

Over the course of the year, Food Network will launch eight programs, and debut British TV chef Jamie Oliver on the channel with Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals, Jamie’s Christmas Special, and Jamie’s Fish Supper Special. Three-Michelin-starred UK chef Heston Blumenthal will also star on the channel for the first time with How To Cook Like Heston.

The remaining series will feature chef Nigella Lawson, who will continue her presence on Food Network with four series, including two series of Nigella Bites, in addition to Nigella Bites Christmas Special and Forever Summer.

Meanwhile, Scripps’ Travel Channel will broadcast series four of A Place In The Sun and three series of the daytime show Celebrity Coach Trip.

“We pride ourselves on showing the most dynamic and entertaining lifestyle programming in the UK, be that from our world-class U.S. channels, or via fresh acquisitions and original commissions,” said Nick Thorogood, senior VP of content and marketing of UK and EMEA for Scripps Networks International, in a statement.

The second-window deal was brokered by Steve Fright and Kathy Fairbairn for Scripps Networks International and Barbara Bellini, rights consultant for Channel 4.
