Discovery Communications-owned U.S. net Destination America has set an April 5 premiere date for backwoods security series Prepper Hillbillies, which follows the Moss Group security team as it protects the communities of South Georgia.

The MorningStar Entertainment-produced series follows craftsmen Barry, Eric and Fred as they design inventive security systems for everything from trespassing to a potential apocalypse, with rigs such as exploding trees and booby-trapped driveways.

“Family is the number one priority for most Americans and the Prepper Hillbillies viewers will learn low-cost solutions for safety and protection,” said Marc Etkind, GM of Destination America, in a statement. “The Moss Shop team shows us their wit and ingenuity preparing every American for any given scenario.”

The series premieres April 5 at 11 p.m. EST/GST on Destination America with two back-to-back episodes.

MorningStar’s exec producers are Gary Tarpinian and Paninee Theeranuntawat, and Destination America’s EP is Caroline Perez.
