Zodiak sends “Killer Karaoke” to Egypt, Kazakhstan

Distributor Zodiak Rights has licensed the format Killer Karaoke (pictured) to networks in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon and Kazakhstan.

Distributor Zodiak Rights has licensed the format Killer Karaoke (pictured) to networks in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lebanon and Kazakhstan.

Produced by Zodiak USA for TruTV and hosted by Steve-O of Jackass, the extreme karaoke series has sold to more than 100 territories to date. Local versions air in 29 territories.

Highways International Productions has produced a 13 x 60-minute season that will premiere on Egypt on Al Hayah TV, in UAE on Abu Dhabi Al Oula, and in Lebanon on MTV this month.

In Kazakhstan, broadcaster NTK has produced a 12 x 60-minute season that will also debut this month.

Last year,  Zodiak Rights sold the format to RTL5 in Holland, Muz-TV in Russia, Prima TV in Romania, Zee Tamizh in India, MCOT in Thailand, BHD Co. in Vietnam, Hang Meas HDTV in Cambodia and TV5 in the Philippines.
