Departure Films taps Jessica Morgan Richter for development

U.S. prodco Departure Films has tapped former A&E exec Jessica Morgan Richter (pictured) to be its VP of development.

U.S. prodco Departure Films has tapped former A&E exec Jessica Morgan Richter (pictured) to be its VP of development.

Morgan Richter most recently served as director and exec producer of non-fiction and alternative programming for A&E, overseeing shows such as Hoarders, Flipping Vegas, Fix This Yard and Sell This House and Flipping Boston. 

Departure Films – which currently has seven series in production – is known for shows including The Vanilla Ice Project, Rev Run’s Renovation, The Jennie Garth Project and Million Dollar Contractor.

“Jessica is a fantastic addition to Departure with her broad experience on both the network and production sides of the television business,” said Max Weissman, president of Departure Films, in a statement. “Jessica will be a tremendous asset as we broaden our development slate and look to continue our growth.”
