U.S. net Discovery Channel is taking its search for rare, vintage cars abroad with car collecting seriesĀ Chrome Underground, set to premiere May 23 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.

The series follows Texas car collectors Yusuf Johnson (pictured, right) and Antonio Brunet (left), who are taking their business abroad and travelling to various countries in search of classic automobiles that are hard to find in the U.S.

The pair are joined by security guard Andrew McLaren, who ensures that collectors – who are major targets for thieves because they carry a lot of cash – are able to get the cars back to the U.S. without harm.

Chrome Underground is produced by Twofour America. The group’s executive producers for the show are Seth Goolnik, Melanie Leach and Grady Candler.
