7Wonder to produce Micky Flanagan series for Sky 1

Britain’s Sky 1 HD has ordered the four-part documentary series Micky Flanagan Hits the Road (working title).

The project is the first commission for 7Wonder, the joint venture production company founded earlier this year by Australian broadcaster Seven Network and former Maverick Television execs Alex Fraser and Liza Abbott.

The series follows English comedian Micky Flanagan and his bricklayer friend Noel Lynch as they cycle across France to visit French landmarks, vineyards and a nudist camp.

7Wonder will coproduce with Micky Flanagan’s prodco Double Busy.  Exec producers are Christian Knowles for Double Busy, Alex Fraser for 7Wonder and Chris Wilson for Sky 1 HD. Sky Vision will distribute the series internationally.
