Travel, Ulive team for digital series prize at NYTVF

One independent artist pitching at this year's New York Television Festival will win a guaranteed digital series order, courtesy of U.S. cable net Travel Channel and online distributor Ulive.

U.S. cable net Travel Channel and Ulive are the latest companies to sign on as development partners for the 2014 New York Television Festival (NYTVF).

The Scripps Networks Interactive-owned channel and online video distributor are joining forces to offer a digital series order to one independent producer participating in the 10th annual event’s pitch awards. The initiative marks the festival’s first multi-brand partnership and first time the event has offered a guaranteed digital series order.

A&E, Investigation Discovery, FYI, WE tv National Geographic Channel, Channel 4′s entertainment division, SundanceTV, TruTV and producer FremantleMedia North America have already signed on as unscripted development partners and will offer development awards to independent producers participating in the festival’s competitions.
