President Barack Obama (pictured) is to introduce the first night of History’s six-hour special event series The World Wars, which premieres this forthcoming Memorial Day.

The American president’s intro, airing on May 26 at 9 p.m. EST, marks his second factual series introduction this year, after he previously recorded an introduction for the Fox/Nat Geo limited series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey in March.

Obama previously recorded a segment for History in 2010, when he introduced the cable channel’s 12-part factual series America: The Story of Us.

The World Wars is produced by Stephen David Entertainment and narrated by actor Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town), and tells the story of three devastating decades of war told through the eyes of the leaders such as Roosevelt, Hitler, Patton, Mussolini, Churchill, Tojo, DeGaulle and MacArthur.
