African Business Channel buys 30 hours from Fred Media

The Australian producer-distributor has licensed more than 30 hours of lifestyle and reality sport programming, including Supercar Showdown (pictured) to South Africa's African Business Channel.

Australian producer-distributor Fred Media has licensed more than 30 hours of lifestyle and reality sport programming to South Africa’s African Business Channel as part of a three-year deal.

African Business Channel will broadcast the content on its Ignition Channel and Home Channel brands.

The programming includes season two of Supercar Showdown (19 x 30 minutes, pictured), a reality sports competition series featuring racing drivers; and season two of The Ultimate Rider (16 x 30 minutes), a competition show about motorcycle drivers. Both programs are produced by Australia’s WTFN Entertainment.

Supercar Showdown will premiere on Ignition in July and The Ultimate Rider will air on the same network later in the year.

The deal also includes the second season of Sandcastles, a Hark Attack-produced series hosted by Peter Colquhoun about beachside architecture along the coast of Australia. The show will air on The Home Channel this month.
