FRAPA Presents: How to Fight For Your Rights…and Win!

They are words that scores of American producers look at with a bittersweet mix of longing and despair: “terms of trade.” While their colleagues across the pond are able to maintain rights to their IP, including potentially lucrative international rights, such an arrangement isn’t in the cards in the U.S. anytime soon. Still, there are creative ways to keep everyone happy (or at least, happier). Here, in a session presented by the Format Recognition and Protection Agency (FRAPA), you’ll learn about some of the methods employed, from creative coproductions to delving into deficit financing, from new emerging economic models to taking your IP elsewhere first before shopping in the U.S. Learn how to take back a little control without taking it on the chin.
