Endemol UK is launching a production arm specializing in game show formats called Remarkable Games.
The division will create formats aimed at British and international audiences and sit within prodco Remarkable Television. It will be headed by creative director James Fox, formerly the head of entertainment for Remarkable Television.
In the role, Fox will create, develop and executive produce multiplatform game show formats as well as build on existing hits in the Remarkable portfolio such as BBC1′s Pointless and Channel 4′s Million Pound Drop.
The company’s recent game show commissions include ITV’s Ejector Seat (pictured), which premiered in April, and BBC2′s forthcoming Two Tribes.
Additionally, Remarkable Games will work with Endemol UK’s commercial and digital teams, including specialist online gaming hub Endemol Games, to develop and produce multiplatform content around the formats.
Fox will work with executive producer Dom Waugh, who recently served as the series producer on Ejector Seat.
Remarkable Television’s entertainment credits include Supersize vs. Superskinny, Deal or No Deal, Secret Eaters and Bodyshockers – all for Channel 4 – and BBC2′s The House that 100K Built.
