Leftfield hires Jason Burinescu for LA role

Former Renegade 83 exec Jason Burinescu (pictured) has joined Leftfield Pictures as head of development for the West Coast.

He will report to recently promoted Leftfield Pictures president David George, and will be based in LA.

Prior to joining Leftfield, Burinescu headed the development department for Renegade 83, where he helped develop and sell Discovery’s breakout hit Naked & Afraid.┬áBefore Renegade, he served as VP of development for Intuitive Entertainment.

George said: “With Leftfield Pictures experiencing unprecedented growth – both in output and breadth of programming – we felt this was the ideal moment to broaden our development operation in LA.

“Jason is a powerhouse executive and producer whose expertise covers not just the unscripted world, but scripted as well. We’re confident his proven ability to create, develop and shepherd shows across genres will result in an array of series that resonate with buyers and audiences.”
